Oslo & Clayden stone
Inspired by the traditional masonry works of Ancient Rome, modern Roman bricks were introduced in the early 20th century. Renowned architect Roger D'Astous, a prominent figure in the 20th century, utilized this type of brick in a heritage-listed church in Quebec as a significant architectural masterpiece.
With the research and development of new technologies by Rinox, the reproduction of the noble aesthetics of Roman brick is made possible in 2024. Returning to the fundamentals of the typology of this imperfect brick allows for an incomparable timeless look.
Oslo Stone is a smooth-finished stone with a slightly imperfect texture, while Clayden Stone has a textured finish reminiscent of clay brick. They are the same stone, but each possesses its unique texture.
